This news article explores Newton educators' historic 15-day strike and the reasons behind it. Although I wanted to keep this piece unbiased, it was difficult when I wasn't receiving responses or comments from the Mayor or School Committee. This piece conveys the challenges and demands of the negotiations through the eyes of Ryan Normandin, a teacher at Newton South High School and lead negotiator for the Newton Teachers Association. Beyond his offerings, I conducted my own research to further develop the story.

I examine the implications of artificial intelligence not only through the perspective of my peers, but also teachers and administrators at Newton South High School.

Written for my AP Lang class, this portfolio details the life of a 20-year-old woman from rural New York and her educational journey through one of the most elite private high schools in the world all the way to Kings College in London. Her story is not typical of these schools' student bodies and this piece highlights that and how she paved her own path.
